Coast to Coast Fun with ANDY LoRUSSO, The Singing Chef!
On February 8th, Celebrity Chef Andy LoRusso headed to the first leg of his month-long tour. Stopping first in Schenectady, NY to do a fundraiser at the Proctors Theater for over 250 people, then hopping on a plane to Minnesota for two back-to-back Valentine’s Day shows at the Black Bear Casino. The weather may be cold and freezing, but the Italian love songs and food will be warm and wonderful!
Andy then flies to warm Daytona Beach Florida, where he will light up the town with the “Everything Italian Festival” at the Peabody Auditorium.
Then, The Singing Chef is back on the big bird heading home to Santa Barbara, CA for a few days rest, then down to San Diego to the big Harrah’s Casino Rincon for two more back-to-back VIP shows. Back in the air and across the country again, Andy performs a fundraising show at Marko Island Florida.

I’m Paula Deen, and I just wanted to take a few minutes to tell y’all a bit about my life growing up in South Georgia, about learning to cook with my family, and a bit about where all my adventures in cooking have taken me. After winning the second season Food Network competition on April 23, 2006, Fieri was awarded a six-episode commitment for his own cooking show on Food Network. Guy’s Big Bite premiered on June 25, 2006 and was renewed for a second season that began airing in early 2007. His second series, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, premiered in April, 2007 (a one-hour pilot for the series aired as a special in November 2006) and sees Fieri traveling the country visiting local eateries. His third series, Ultimate Recipe Showdown, co-hosted with Marc Summers, began airing on February 17, 2008. He appeared with Robert Irvine in Dinner: Impossible in 2007, and has appeared on Paula Deen’s “Paula’s Party” as well as Ace of Cakes. His new show, Guy Off the Hook debuted on Food Network on September 14, 2008.

Andy LoRusso followed-up with us this week about a sold-out fundraiser he hosted. The onstage, cabaret dinner-show was for over 250 patrons of The Spencer Theater in Ruidoso, New Mexico on Saturday, August 20th. Andy said he was happy to serve as host for the gala fundraiser and he said the Theater met their fund-raising goals!
Andy said, “The local caterers who work with the Spencer Theater cooked all my recipes for this event and according to the patrons, they did an outstanding job. I agree! The meal was served family style at tables of ten. This type of interaction allowed everyone to get to know each other better and become like family.”
“During my show, I demonstrated preparation of three items from the menu while encouraging all to sing along with me. The words to the songs are shown on large screens on the stage along with beautiful images of Italy. We enjoyed singing songs like “Santa Lucia” for the Venice scenes, “Sorrento” for the Amalfi Coast scenes, and “La Donna e Mobile” for the La Scala Opera House images.”
