Pastor Chris Edmonds is the son of Master Sgt. Roddie Edmonds, a WWII hero, whose bravery and fearless valor saved the lives of countless Jewish soldiers in a prisoner of war camp in Germany.
Chris Edmonds recently traveled to the Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC to meet with Israel’s Ambassador and the President of the United States. While there he received the Righteous Among The Nations Award on behalf of his father from the Nation of Israel and Yad Vashem.
Sergeant Edmonds is one of only five Americans, and the first U.S. soldier, to receive the honor and joins more than
26,000 others designated as Righteous including Oskar Schindler and Raoul Wallenberg. Along with Chris and a growing number of Congressional and military leaders, Master Sergeant Edmonds is being considered for a Congressional Medal of Honor.
