“Hearing Vallie’s story validated and reiterated one of the our HR Department’s mantas: “Good Luck, Bad Luck! Who’s to say?” Upon learning that an individual has experienced a plane crash into the cold Hudson River, one immediately thinks, “What an unlucky person?” Vallie is quick to share that she feels like 01/15/09 was one of the luckiest days of her life! With all the odds against the flight crew, fellow passengers, and her, each and every one of them survived. Good Luck, Bad Luck, who’s to say? Because she’s relates to people on many levels – a business person always on the go, a Mom who wants to be there for her family’s important events – we all sat and wondered how we would have responded had we been put in her situation. I’m aware of more than just one or two listeners who were either close to tears or did some soul-searching after she was done.” – Frank S.
