Chinnitta started her career as a comedian on HBO’S Def Comedy Jam in 1990, and has since performed on BET’S Comic View and Bad Girls of Def Comedy Jam, which featured five of the best female comics on Def Comedy Jam. She was nominated for best female stand-up comedian on the “Soul Train Comedy Awards. Chinnitta Morris has also toured with numerous stage plays, including Tyler Perry’s very first play “I Know I’ve Been Changed”.
In June 2013, Chinitta ‘Chocolate’ Morris won an award at the Livin’ on Laughter Gospel Comedy Association’s (LOLGCA) conference. The conference included seminars, sessions and a competition to uplift and support comedians new to the scene as well as comedy veterans. Marcus Wiley, Shawn Mason Spence, Mike Washington, Platinum, Christina Wilson, Tony Trott, Min. Rob Minor, Tee Brown, Lamont Ferrell and Steffon Vann were among the many presenters who did an awesome job acknowledging the award winners, while keeping everyone laughing as well. Chinnitta ‘Chocolate’ Morris will also be featured in the upcoming reality television comedy special “Willie Brown & Friends Gospel Comedy Live”. The TV special taped its first episodes during performances on September 6 and October 11 at the Comedy Clinic Studio in Atlanta, GA. Comedian ventriloquist Willie Brown is widely known for his appearances on BET’s Comicview, HBO, Showtime Network’s “Barbershop” Series and “The Rickey Smiley Show,” and Willie Brown is one of the most sought after Christian comedians in America.
