Florida Georgia Line is a duo comprised of members Tyler Hubbard (from Monroe, Georgia) and Brian Kelley (from Ormond Beach, Florida). Their sound combines electrifying, hard-driving rock with honest, expressive lyrics.
Tyler and Brian met while attending Belmont University. The two began playing out in local clubs while writing in between classes. Much like the duo, their musical influences are very diverse and come from different genres, ranging from worship to rap.
While their influences may seem eclectic, they both feel there is a common bond. “All of our idols create great music that’s real and that everyone can relate to. That’s the same kind of music we want to make,” said Kelley.
