Sandra Norris was known in the Shoals, Alabama community as DJ Chick-A-Dee. She would also DJ karaoke and club music throughout the Tennessee Valley. She has had the privilege of knowing Johnny Tayler, Luther Vandross, and Virgil Gibson (4Tops) came to stage and performed with her. Some of her personal friends are Ronald MacDougall and Howell Sledge (son of Percy Sledge). Sandra was also in the Hillbilly Bushwhackers Band in Alabama.
Pandura says, “As a vocalist, I’ve been performing on stage for more than 14 years. My primary objective is to be a singer and stage performer. I’ve performed at festivals (30 min. slots) with approximately 500 or so in attendance. Producer Charlie Ray has also invited me to attend singer/writer festivals in Hendersonville, TN.”
Pandura was offered a nomination for the King Eagle Music Award for two years running. Sandra admires and is influenced by artists such as Dolly Parton, LeeAnn Rimes, Gretchen Wilson, Mindy McCready, Bette Midler, Pat Benatar, Ann Wilson and Amy Lee.
Pandura supports causes that help children and women in the work-force and animals. “Charities and organizations that are dear to me are the Humane Society, St. Jude’s, Toys for Tots, Toy Runs by the biker community, and the Shriners because no child should go without child care and health care.”
