Rex grew up in Hoxie, Kansas and after college returned home to the family business. He continued to work on his magic skills and honed his hobby at agricultural functions is the western Kansas area. In 1980, Rex Getz turned a special hobby into a full time comedy magic profession and the rest is history.

He is most well known to many Kansans as the “Magic Man” for Kansas Farm Bureau at their exhibit at the Kansas State Fair in Hutchinson.
