Phil Dirt and the Dozers can trace its roots back to 1962 when Uncle Phil began his musical journey performing the hottest hits of the day in and around the state of Ohio. Times were simpler then… and the music was unbelievable! Doo Wop was hot! Beach music from groups like Jan and Dean and the Beach Boys was the hippest new trend… great new bands were emerging daily with songs that would be ingrained in the American culture for generations.
In 1981 it came to everyone’s attention that times had changed… the world had begun spinning a little faster than it used to. The details were being missed. The subtleties of life began passing us by.
That’s when Phil Dirt and the Dozers sprang into action. The glorious harmonies of the ’50s and ’60s didn’t have to die. Five extremely talented and versatile professional musicians made a commitment to bring those good times back through music. Detailed re-creations of the original recordings that often exceed the abilities of the current “touring version” of our favorite groups. No one can replace the groups of yesterday, but the Dozers can recreate them on command!
