Karen Mills spent 15 years on the standup comedy circuit honing her skills. She’s worked with Jon Stewart, was a contributing writer for The Rosie O’ Donnell Show, and is currently on tour with Leanne Morgan as The Hen Party. The Hen Party has both ‘hens’ and ‘roosters’ cackling, crowing, and laughing at every show! Karen is also a favorite in the corporate world. Karen Mills understands what it takes to excel. She stands at 5’2″ and was an All-American basketball player for the University of Tennessee – Chattanooga. In 1981, she led the nation in assists and was the first female inducted into UTC’s basketball hall of fame. She’s got game! Karen brings that same dynamic energy to her comedy. Standup Comedian Leanne Morgan:
Raised in rural middle Tennessee, Leanne Morgan has been a country girl since birth. She spent her childhood on a farm surrounded by an extended family, which influences her comedy still today. Leanne later attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee.
Leanne Morgan is married to an “conservative republican” with three children. Her comedy focuses on her children who are always first priority. Being a mother of three young children in rural Appalachia did not allow for many traveling dates in her early career. Her first public attempt at standup comedy was to emcee at a local variety show for a men’s civic club. This two-night stand led to many appearances in local East Tennessee coffee houses and scores of regional corporate events.
Leanne Morgan has added many comedy club appearances to her regular corporate functions. She has appeared at clubs in Nashville, San Antonio, Knoxville, Asheville and Dallas.
Today Leanne Morgan is a popular funny comedian who keeps her standup comedy wholesome and fresh and appeals to a wide cross-section of society.
