Dr. Daniel Greenstein, a.k.a. Dr. Dan, is a healthcare comedian who is also a practicing dentist in South Florida.
Enjoyed by thousands of doctors, dentists and healthcare professionals around the country, Dr. Dan has shared his hilarious healthcare humor at events from Florida to Alaska. He has performed at comedy clubs up and down the East Coast for over 20 years and has been a healthcare entertainer, speaker and comedian nationwide while continuing to practice dentistry.In addition to his industry-specific humor, Dr. Dan also plays piano, adding music into his healthcare comedy routine with funny sing-along parody songs for added entertainment and laughs.
Dr. Dan was a winner on TV’s America’s Funniest People and a finalist in Colgate’s Search for America’s Funniest Dentist. He has also been featured on National Public Radio’s “All Things Considered” for his parody song CD “Spit Happens!”
Dr. Dan received his dental degree at the State University of New York at Stony Brook’s School of Dental Medicine in 1983. Since that time, his firsthand experiences in the field of dentistry have equipped him with plenty of material to incorporate into his dental comedy routine, while also providing him with the insight only currently-practicing healthcare professionals have when it comes to knowing what is really funny about the field of healthcare.
Based on his own unique perspective of patient care, as well as personal experiences as a patient, Dr. Dan talks about issues and situations that face healthcare providers today and does so with candor, wit and humor that leave audiences in stitches.
